The Logistics Network Federation (LNF) brings together established freight forwarding and logistics networks from around the world.

LNF membership is available to qualified networks only and is not offered directly to individual freight forwarders.
To be considered for membership in the Logistics Network Federation (LNF), a prospective member network should meet the following criteria:

  • Industry Relevance: The applicant should be an established freight forwarding, logistics, or related industry network or organization whose activities and objectives are aligned with LNF's mission.

  • Professional Standards: The applicant should demonstrate adherence to recognized industry best practices, professional standards, ethical conduct, and responsible business practices.

  • Reputation and Integrity: The applicant should have a proven record of integrity and ethical business conduct, supported where appropriate by references or endorsements from existing LNF members or reputable industry entities.

  • Operational Excellence: The applicant should demonstrate sound management, effective operational standards, and a commitment to service quality.

  • Financial Stability: The applicant network should demonstrate financial stability and solvency sufficient to meet its business commitments and contribute responsibly to the federation.

  • Financial Protection Measures: The applicant network should have appropriate financial protection or risk-management measures in place to help safeguard its members and support a secure business environment.

  • Industry Experience: The applicant should have a minimum of two years of experience in the freight networking industry, including at least two Annual General Meetings (AGMs) during that period.

  • Commitment to Innovation and Sustainability: The applicant should support continuous improvement, innovation, responsible technology adoption, and sustainable industry practices.

  • Network Contribution: The applicant should be willing to contribute actively to LNF through participation in events and initiatives, sharing knowledge and expertise, supporting fellow member networks, and contributing to the federation's ongoing development.

  • Code of Conduct: The applicant must agree to comply with the LNF Code of Conduct and the professional, ethical, and collaborative standards adopted by the federation.

Prospective member networks may apply for LNF membership through the following process:

  • Submit Application Form: The prospective network submits a completed membership application together with the information and supporting documents requested by LNF.

  • Eligibility Review: LNF reviews the application against the membership eligibility criteria and may request additional information, references, or clarification where needed.

  • Due Diligence: LNF may review the applicant's industry standing, operational background, financial stability, member-protection measures, and overall alignment with the federation's objectives.

  • Board Review and Decision: Eligible applications are submitted for review and approval in accordance with the LNF bylaws and applicable Board procedures.

  • Membership Confirmation: Following approval and completion of the required membership formalities, including payment of applicable fees, the applicant is formally admitted as an LNF member network.

  • Membership fees are established by LNF in accordance with its governing rules and Board-approved policies. The applicable joining and/or annual membership fees will be communicated to the applicant during the membership process.

  • Membership becomes effective only after approval and completion of the applicable membership requirements, including payment of any fees due.

Once admitted, each LNF member network is expected to maintain the standards on which its membership was granted and to contribute positively to the federation. Member networks should:

  • Maintain Eligibility: Continue to meet the professional, ethical, operational, and financial standards applicable to LNF membership.

  • Comply with LNF Rules: Observe the LNF bylaws, Code of Conduct, policies, resolutions, and other rules applicable to member networks.

  • Participate Actively: Take part in LNF meetings, events, initiatives, collaborative projects, and other federation activities where reasonably expected.

  • Contribute to the Community: Share knowledge, expertise, resources, opportunities, and best practices that strengthen cooperation among LNF member networks.

  • Support Responsible Cooperation: Encourage professional, transparent, and respectful cooperation between member networks and their freight forwarding members.

  • Maintain Financial Responsibilities: Pay applicable membership fees and meet any other financial commitments required under LNF rules and approved policies.

  • Promote Continuous Improvement: Support innovation, professional development, responsible technology adoption, and the continued advancement of the federation and the freight forwarding networking industry.

Meeting the eligibility criteria does not by itself guarantee admission. Membership is subject to the review and approval process established under the LNF bylaws and applicable Board procedures.
